I'm kicking off the new week by joining in on the fun @ Brittany's BLOG BASH! I have to say that her blog is absolutely amazing - she has some super serious talent, I can't believe she just graduated high school!
Thanks, Brittany, for putting this together - it already seems to be a huge success!
First things first, I must introduce myself to new readers: I'm in my mid-20's, born and raised in West Virginia, have been married for a little over four years, and have a huge orange tabby housecat, Diego. I graduated from Marshall University (GO HERD!) in 2006 with a BA in Criminal Justice which I would LOVE to trade for some other degree. I currently work for a non-profit drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment agency in southeastern Ohio. My husband and I reside in Athens, where he is in his final year of grad school at Ohio University, finishing up a Ph.D. in English Composition/Rhetoric. He will hit the job market this fall, and we'll find out what college/university town we're headed to settle down in sometime in 2011. I love being creative, eating chocolate, and playing with my iPhone. I'm addicted to social networking and collecting Fiestaware Dinnerware. My iPod is my life, as is my Hallmark Christmas ornament collection. I dress my husband in Gap and Banana Republic, while I live in American Eagle Jeans and flip flops. I am a SPORTS FAN. NCAA and NFL football, NBA, and NCAA basketball are my faves - I cheer on the Marshall Thundering Herd, Ohio University Bobcats, New England Patriots, and now (don't kill me Ohio peeps), the Miami Heat. I also love the Cincinnati Reds! Being artsy and crafty is my favorite hobby. I love anything cute, pretty, and/or tasty. Yes, tasty - I love beautiful food! I wish I had an out-building with saws and other power tools. I love to read, and watch movies - especially midnight showings of the latest blockbuster! I love my life, and enjoy every single day of it. And now, for the Blog Bash questions: Why do you blog? I blog because I've always been a person who must express herself. I'm too creative to hold everything end - I would explode! I love "putting it all out there" - my thoughts, my opinions, my creativity. Most of all, I love to share, and explore others' creative ideas and thoughts as well! What do you blog about? Anything and everything - my latest adventures, random thoughts, current events, artsy projects, my favorite products/items and, of course, chocolate and other dessert related topics! What do you find to be the biggest reward you get from blogging? The new pals I've made! Encouragement, support, sweet compliments... it's all so great, I love my followers! Another big reward is learning - I come across so many blogs that I actually learn from! How long have you been blogging? I started blogging near the end of this past April. And let me just say... I LOOOVE it! Let's hear the story behind your blog title! It simply describes my life - my main focus is to stand behind and encourage my husband through the dissertation and job market process. While i'm his teammate, I'm still a little detached from his educational experience in that I could never understand what it's like to be a college student and study rhetoric for 11+ years - so this blog is me, day in and day out, going about my business and charging through the unpredictable life that is of a grad student's wife! Who knows what school he will teach at, where we'll end up, when we will have kids, or how many, or how many times we'll move in our lifetime. A lot is up in the air, but I've learned to LOVE it that way! Thanks for stopping by - and don't forget to say hello! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the BLOG BASH @ Not Your Average Teen!

Really glad to be following your blog, Stephanie! You're much farther along in partnering with a PhD student, so I hope you have some tidbits of advice I can take and learn from. :-)
