It's September and a Shabby Apple Giveaway!

It's the first day of one of my favorite months - and even though it's still extremely hot in Athens, Ohio, I'm still loving September! And the shorter days. And cooler nights.

Another great thing about September is an awesome giveaway hosted by Leigh Ashley!  She recently opened a new Etsy shop, the Shabby Apple, and I'm already a huge fan - last week, I blogged about the discover necklace I recently purchased from the Shabby Apple.  Visit Leigh's Blog and enter the giveaway to win the "Lovebirds Necklace", one of her most popular pieces in the Shabby Apple shop - it's too sweet for words!

{See? Too sweet for words.}

Leigh decided to launch a blog for Shabby Apple separate from her personal blog, as posts about Shabby Apple shop updates needed a special place to belong! She is constantly adding new items, each one more sweet and unique than the last.
Visit and follow the Shabby Apple blog to stay up to date with the latest items, discounts, and more!

And now, some of my favorite items from the Shabby Apple:

I hope everyone has a fabulous first day of September!  Enjoy those Starbucks Pumpkin Spice lattes!

Shabby Apple review & more Etsy finds!

I love following Leigh Ashley's blog, and now I'm completely head over heels in love with her new Etsy shop, The Shabby Apple! She makes gorgeous, super sweet jewelry and other accessories, and adds a little bit of shabby-vintage flair.

Last week, I purchased the "discover necklace" from the Shabby Apple.  As soon as I laid eyes on it, I immediately fell in love - this piece of jewelry spoke to me!  This year is about discovering new everything for my husband and I - discovering our futures, discovering new places, discovering where we'll settle down and add to our little family of three (me, him, and the kitty.)  I had to have the necklace. So... I purchased it and three days later, it's in my home! It's even more beautiful in person than it is in the photo, it was packed safe and secure, and I am definitely stalking the Shabby Apple for future purchases.  Thanks, Leigh!

I've been browsing Etsy a lot as of late. I have way too many items added to my favorites!

Chocolate Pillow.  I need!

Look! It's my husband and I! :)

This is super long and I super love it.

Chocolate Rose ring - It looks so edible!

I'm a green lover, and a fan of just about any
liquid that can be slurped out of a mug! Cozy!

Of course, I can't leave my sweet kitty out.
Primitive style pet bed - genius!

I recently won my very own piece of DaVinci jewelry from Coppin's Gifts, in a giveaway hosted by my bloggin' pal Brittany @ Living in the Moment.  I had a great time browsing the DaVinci bead collection, and eventually picked a dangling "S" with two matching green foil glass beads to wear on the starter bracelet.  I won over $30 worth of stuff! SWEET DEAL!

Modeling my winnings!
I received my bracelet and beads in less than two weeks, and Brenda, a fabulous rep from Coppin's, was so fantastic about helping me out and maintaining contact via email.
DaVinci jewelry is classy, high quality, and fabulous! I absolutely love mine and can't wait to start a new tradition by gifting it to my friends and family! It also compliments other European style beads (like Pandora!)  I'm S-O-L-D!

So... which three beads will you choose to go on your new DaVinci drop necklace?

Wishful Wednesday

This week, I'm hopping on the Wishful Wednesday bandwagon over @TheSeattleSmiths.

Kelsey's wishful writing prompt is:

'I wish'... I hadn't lost _____!!!

I wish I hadn't lost the horsehoe necklace my husband bought me for an anniversary gift a few years ago.  It was white gold, a tiny little diamond horseshoe, and I loved it so much!  I'm pretty sure it is laying around the streets of Columbus, Ohio somewhere - well, probably not anymore, as I'm sure a crack dealer has gotten ahold of it and sold it by now. I noticed the necklace was missing from around my neck after my husband and I got home from a day trip to Columbus with a friend.  This particular friend keeps his car very clean, so I know it's not stuck in the seat somewhere - nope, I believe the necklace got wrapped up with my scarf and probably just fell off as we trotted up and down High Street and OSU's campus all day long.  I still look for it - everytime I move a piece of furniture that i haven't cleaned behind for a while, I have hope that it will magically appear.  No such luck yet - but we will be moving out of our apartment in a year or so, which causes me to hold out some hope on finding my horseshoe underneath the bed.
