Awesome Kitchen Gadget #1

While shopping for apartment-warming gifts for my sister-in-law, I found one of the best kitchen prep items ever - The OXO 2-cup angle measuring cup. Instead of kneeling down/bending over and repeatedly pouring in /dumping out ingredients like you would normally do when using the average measuring cup, you can stand up, pour the ingredients in, and read the measurement from above! Also comes in a mini-version for smaller amounts. Needless to say, Katie will be using this wonderful tool in her new apartment kitchen, and I will be buying them for all of my lady family members for xmas this year - I'll make sure to buy one for myself, too!

$3.95 for mini

Spring has Sprung and so Has My Blog!

I've wanted to do this FOREVER... but just never made the time. Welcome, friends, to my blog about all things "Stephanie" - Art, Music, Books, Movies, Friends, Family, the going-ons in my life, and a bunch of other topics, too. Basically, this is a place where I will share a bunch of stuff that I don't want to smother my FB friends with by posting in a news feed. I always have a lot to say about almost everything on the planet. I would also love to share the details of my whereabouts and whatabouts - you wouldn't believe the interesting days I live earning an hourly wage in a drug/alcohol tx agency while at the same time being my husband's #1 fan and supporter as he enters the dissertation phase of grad school. Maybe this will serve as a therapeutic tool for someone else who is dealing with the highs and lows of a spouse's grad school experience (well... it will be therapeutic, or maybe a WARNING...) I love my life, but i've learned that it's something you certainly don't attempt to plan. I've adjusted pretty well to simply living one day at a time and enjoying the "little things" (like a great Crate&Barrel item) - it truly is the best way to approach things, because we don't know what in the hell awaits us.

So come with me, let's fly by the seat of our pants and enjoy the little things together! WOOoooooo!

I would also like to thank my friend and fellow Marshall Alumni Jennifer M. for all the help w/blog setup!

P.S. What would spring be without a little baseball video???
